The following steps must be followed for an applicant to be considered for employment in a position with The Intelligence Company.
Recruitment Qualifications; Each applicant must satisfy all established Minimum Qualifications for Employment as determined by Florida Dept of Agriculture, Division of licensing.
• Graduation from a standard high school, vocational school or acceptable GED equivalency;
• 19 years of age or older
• A United States Citizen.
• Must possess a valid Drivers License at the time of application and a valid Florida Drivers License at the time of employment.
• Must possess a certified copy of a Birth Certificate.
• Must possess a Social Security card.
• Must provide a copy of all documented name changes.
• Have a positive work history, being free from frequent disciplinary actions, suspensions, and/or terminations and resignations
• Be a non-smoker (which includes daily use of any tobacco product)
• Must provide a copy of all IntelCo PAT Time/Scores. (Pass or Fail)
• Copy of military discharge, DD214 (if applicable).
• Must pass physical and psychological examination.
• Must be of good moral character.
• Undergo criminal records check, which includes fingerprints.
• Successfully pass a background investigation.
• Maintain the highest moral character, as specified under the provisions of Florida State Statute 943.13(7) and Rule 11B-27.002 of the Florida Administrative Code, by never having been convicted of any felony or misdemeanor involving domestic violence, perjury, or a false statement, nor having pled guilty or nolo contendre after July 1, 1981, to a felony or misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement, whether or not adjudication was withheld or sentence suspended.

The above process is subject to change without notice and the order in which each step is listed above may not be the actual order of process completion.
The PAT consists of two 220 yard runs, dragging a 150 pound dummy 100 feet, jumping over obstacles (12-24 inches high), climbing over a wall (40 inches high), two 50 foot-sprints and movement around a series of pylons. It must be completed in 6 minutes and 4 seconds.
The Physical Abilities Test (P.A.T.) is an entry-level test. The P.A.T. is a job field simulation test that measures some of the essential physical abilities required to perform criminal justice tasks in the State of Florida.
The P.A.T. must be completed in 6 minutes and 4 seconds to receive a passing score (Pass or Fail). There are no ages or sex standards associated with the P.A.T. Prior to taking the P.A.T., participants must be cleared by their personal physician and a completed waiver.
